Prayer is a sacred privilege available to a believer. A person who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ has a glorious access to the realm of prayer. The saints in the Old Testament made passionate prayers to the Almighty God and received powerful answers. They were predominantly Priests, prophets and kings or anyone in that lineage who knew the power of prayer. A normal layperson could not access this realm of prayer unless He understood the covenant and precepts of the almighty God. In the New Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ looking at His disciples who were fishermen,tax collectors and normal human beings declared the way open to the Father. What was not accessible to common man as a result of Sin would be accessible again by the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and His ascension to heaven. Our Lord Jesus rose again from the dead and He is alive. Along with preparing rooms for His elect, He is actively involved in seeing that we receive answers to our prayers . We have a great High Priest who is at the right hand of the Father interceding for us and through Him we have access to heavens. Answers to prayers are not for us to boast or to show off. The answers are given so that the Father would be glorified in the Son. Its all for His glory and pleasure. Let's on our part humbly go to the throne of Grace and seek mercy and grace to help in times of our need. The prayer pathway should not be taken lightly. Our Lord Jesus is alive and He longs to fellowship with us. "And he walks with me and he talks with me And he tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known."
